While a 26 may be more ideal for your rig, you should still be able to run a 27 on it with no problem. If you are hitting a ton of chine walk, and only able to get to 5200 rpm's, you need to come up with your motor because it sounds like you have it buried. Bring it up in 1/4 inch increments and keep an eye on your water pressure, that's the easiest way to find the sweet spot.
