In the hull transducer install, HELP...

I've got a 2000 210 and I'm going to update the electronics and want to put the puck transducer in the hull. I looked last night and don't see a "special" spot to put it. Should I sand the inside bottom of the hull before using the epoxy?

I also upgraded my electronics recently in my 2005 180ProV. No need to sand unless it is really rough. Be sure to use a slow curing epoxy and weight the transducer down until the epoxy cures. I was told that I may have a minute amount of signal loss but should not be a problem.
