Yamaha ring free fuel additive

I have heard good thing about the yamaha ring free...My question is, should I add ring free to my fuel with a new engine with only 12 hours on it? According to the operator manuel the manufacture state's to use it . However, some people have toll me to wait till the engine has more hours on it. I don't want to damage the engine by adding additives to early. Can anyone give me any suggestion. thanks

I just recently took delivery and a 2420 with a 300 H.P.D.I. and the dealer said to use it in the first tank of gas and then on. Guess I'll keep using it and see what happens.

put it in the first tank and still putting it in ............187 hours on motor...

I have heard nothing but good, and those who didn't use it have
had problems down the road. I normally purchase 10 gallons
each time that I go fishing, and add one ounce of the ring free.
BTW I have the f150 4 stroke.

I use it every time I put gas in the boat. My logic is: If Yamaha says to use it - USE IT!
