Starline Trailer

I have a 2008 2420 Professional on a tandem axle Starline trailer and I'm having trouble getting the boat off the trailer. When the boat comes off of the trailer the lip on the top cap in the front gets hung up on the roller. It has chipped the fiberglass already from hitting the roller. When it does come off the roller the front end drops down hard. Anybody else have or had this problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have the same set up with the 2220 fisherman. I haven't had a problem yet...Is this problem happening at different boat launches?If this is happening it sounds like the boat launch ramp is steep?.I have a friend who has had the same type problem with a different boat and trailer.His solution to the problem is to not back the boat and trailer to deep into the water but enough to still use the engine to back the boat off the trailer. It.s been working for him for a few years without cracking the front of the hull again.

I have only had the boat out 3 times so far and it has done it every time. Seems like it has to be backed up pretty far in the water to float it. But I will try that and see what happens.

I have the 2220 Fisherman and a starline Trailer that if you back in to much the same thing happen. But if you don't back down that far it will cut my hull. I took it back to the dealer and they fix the hull. but when they put it back on the trailer it cut the hull again.

catman,what part of the hull is the trailer cutting into? I would like to keep and eye out for this on my boat.I have a few little nicks and scuffs under the hull due to fishing in shallow water. I'd like to make sure its not being damaged by the trailer.thanks

it will be on the frist part of the V of the hull on both side about 3" up from the bottem

I have a starline tandem trailer for my 2170. I have never
had any problems, but I did add keel protection.

Have a 2007 2420 and have experienced the bow hanging up. My concern is that the trailing edge of the front bunks were worn through the carpet with-in 4 months and it takes excessive power[ imo] to launch and retrieve. I think that the trailing edge is too high and there is no way to adjust. Other people have had similar problems and Blazzer Johhny was going to speak with Starline, but have heard nothing from either. Where are you Blazzer Johnny?????

same here Topbog at the Houston boats show a Blazer rep. said they would look into the trailer issues
I have not heard a word. love the boat but don't like the hull all cut by the trailer. if your carpet
is worn through it my have already cut your hull.
