minn-kota st or sp users read!!!

just a word of warning, if you are running a minn-kota st or sp series elec. steer unit. you always need to run your locking collar all the way down your shaft for added safety. i was running about 40mph when mine deployed yesterday. needless to say, she went to hell! so this morning i was dropping my boat off at blazer for my necessary gel-coat repairs.

are you talking about the black strap and you were running in the water and the troll motor came to a open position.....i cant figure out what your talking about....i'am a little slow sometimes

the slide i was reffering to was the depth control slide. the electric steer models (co-pilot) do not have a strap. they have a totaly different mount.
