Late report for Thursday from the Beach. AG Davis came in from Houston to scratch his fishing itch. Things started off a little slow with the cold water, but as the morning went on the fishing heated up. The Drum and Heads were very cooperative early and once the sun warmed things up some the Trout turned on. Also had a couple big Drum test the drags while catching the Trout. Campo’s live shrimp under a cork did the damage on the Trout and we put together a very nice box of fish that cured that itch big time. 50 Trout, 15 Heads, and 2 Drum.

The fishing in Shell Beach has been great and will be all winter long. Since it has been too mild for hunting, why not go fishing? Get in on the winter special pricing and fill up that freezer. Four fishermen for $600 and that includes live bait and fish cleaning. Plenty of open dates, so call now to book yours.

Campo’s is open with fuel, live bait, ice, and two back down ramps. Nice and easy launching with helpful advice from the Campo’s is waiting for you. For your next fishing adventure call United Charters. Very nice overnight accommodations are available. 504-439-1680.

Fun Friday on the Beach. I finally got to take out the Jim Walther group for a day of fishing fun. After several cancelations because of nasty weather we thought Friday would be the day. The wind was blowing a little harder than forecasted, but the fish did not mind. We got in a semi protected area close to the Sound and the big trout ate up the Campo’s live shrimp under a cork. We made two stops and filled the box up with 125 very pretty Trout along with 3 Reds and a Flounder.

The fishing in Shell Beach is on. Don’t miss out on some of the best fishing of the year. Campo’s is open with fuel, live bait, ice, and two back down ramps. Nice and easy launching with helpful advice from the Campo’s is waiting for you. For your next fishing adventure call United Charters. Very nice overnight accommodations are available. 504-439-1680.

Hot Trout bite on the Beach!!!!! Way behind on reports, so I will let the pictures do the talking. Ran a few trips for Capt. Frank last week with limits each day and this week the action has been just as good, except Saturday with all the wind. My crew still filled the box with fish, just had to change gears and chase the Reds. Good times with great people.

The Trout bite is hot and will only get hotter, don’t miss out, call today. Campo’s is open with fuel, live bait, ice, and two back down ramps. Team Butt Paste hits the Beach. Larry Abbot has made several attempts to use the gift certificate his wife got him as an anniversary present last year. After many booked trips and cancelations due to foul weather we finally got to go. Larry and his wife Linda were joined by George and Debbie Boudreaux. George is the master mind behind Boudreaux’s Butt Paste and what they did to the Redfish no amount of paste could fix. We were greeted by strong SE winds and after a few attempts to get on a Trout bite we gave up and headed to the marsh to look for Redfish and whatever else would bite. The crew limited out on Reds and ended up with a few Trout, 3 Drum, and 2 Bass. Larry caught and released a 3’ Bull Shark in the marsh at the same spot we caught some Reds and the Bass. We were shocked as it jumped from the water into the sky and went berserk. Fun windy day with great people.

Big Trout and big fun on the Beach. Tuesday I had Phil Gachassin bring his dad and son down to the Beach for some fishing fun. The conditions were very nice, but our first stop produced more sand fly bites than Trout bites. We made a move closer to the MRGO and got on a short lived bite that put 40 pretty Trout on ice. One more move and that was all it took. We headed over to where Capt. Markham was close to finishing up and got set up on the other side of the rig from them and it was on. The Trout were big and mad at the hooks we put in their mouths. The wind picked up a little and bite slowed, but not before we filled the box. It was a fun day and the guys headed back to Lafayette loaded down with fillets. 100 Trout, 1 Red, 1 Drum, and 6 Heads.

Saturday report from the Beach. I had the pleasure of fishing a couple of great guys, Jeff and Walter. We started out looking for Trout in the Machias area and got on a decent bite, but it did not last long. The wind picked up and the bite stopped. We moved closer to the inside and fished a shoreline that produced a nice little mix of fish including Trout, Reds, and Flounder. We then headed deeper in the marsh looking to get out of the wind and put some reds on ice and that the guys did. It was a lot of fun being on the water with them and their constant poking fun at each other. Total take home for the day was 33 Trout, 15 Reds, 4 Drum, and 2 Flounder.

The Fall bite is here and the fish are closer in and hungry. Don’t miss out on the best fishing of the year, call today. Campo’s is open with fuel, live bait, ice, and two back down ramps. Wednesday report from the Beach. It was fun day with Todd Naccari, Jason Hirstius, and Ritchie Hirstius. The goal of the day was to show them some fall/winter areas and techniques so they could make some trips with their kids. Loading the ice chest was not the plan, but they did anyway. We fished the Hopedale area making lots of stops and catching fish at each. We fished shallow ponds, lagoons, and deep bayous with live shrimp under corks and Carolina rigs. The guys are pretty good fisherman and lots of fun to fish with., and ended the day with 88 Trout, 5 Red, 5 Drum, 12 Heads, 1Flounder, and 1 Bass.

Friday fun with the Renshaw Group. It was one of those rare days when Brian brings a crew to the Beach, nice weather and mild winds. Armed with Campo's live shrimp the guys put a lot of fish on ice and had a great time doing it. We started out fishing in a deep bayou and got the Trout eating up till a shrimp boat came plowing through. We then made a few moves fishing points and shorelines picking up more Trout along with some Reds and Drum at each stop. With the bait well empty and the ice chest stuffed we called it a day with 100 Trout, 9 Reds, 4 Drum, 3 Flounder, and 2 Heads.

Friday I had the Don Herrmann group with Don, Don, Chris, and Brett. A clod front pushed through the night before and left behind cool temps and lots of wind. We made our first stop in Hopedale Lagoon and caught a few small a trout, but nothing to put in the box. The next two spots had boats on them already, so I headed deeper in the marsh and fished a pond near Four Horse. We got on a slow, but steady bite fishing with Campo's live shrimp under a cork, so we stuck with it. As the falling tide picked up so did the action. The guys had a great time catching a little bit of everything that swims in the marsh. We ended the day with 90 Trout, 7 Reds, 8 Drum, 9 Heads, and 2 Flounder.

Saturday report from the Beach. On board for the day were Paul Talazac, Michael Talazac, Chris Talazac and Sonny Lawson. We started off fishing a point in Four Horse were we found some birds diving and shrimp jumping. The action was fast, but the keeper ratio was low. There were a lot of nice White Trout mixed in with the Specks. Once this bite slowed down we moved to a pond were I caught plenty of fish in Friday, but the action was slow. After making a few moves we got on a really good bite and the Trout were flying in the boat. We ended the day with a box full of 125 Specks, 45 White Trout, 2 Reds, and 3 Heads. All fish caught on Campo's live shrimp under a cork.
