The 2170 is a great choice! I have a 2004 with a Yamaha F-150 that has served me very well. If I had it to do over I would have outfitted with a jack plate. The boat fits my needs as a bay boat, a bass boat, and even open water fishing when the weather is right. Good luck in your search!

Well Gents, I found a boat. I bought a 2200 with a 225 ETEC. So far I am very pleased. The only problem I am having is the darn oil spill. I live in South Louisiana and I bought it to fish the Grand Isle and Cocodrie areas. Both are closed with this oil mess. I guess I will have to teach my kids to ski????

Thomas, you just need to head East. The fishing here in Lake Ponchartrain, Delacroix & Hopedale is great. Not sure how long this will last because the oil is knocking on our door also. I've been catching some nice trout in the lake.
