2010 2220 fisherman transom crack

Just bought a 2220 fisherman last week with the suzuki df200, took the boat out once, washed the boat noticed three cracks where the transom meets the top cap of the boat, boat doesnt even have 5 hours on it yet, runs great though, with 20 gals of fuel and just two people im running 58mph on gps at 5800rpm's. Anyone have this kind of problem before?

I had a similar issue with my 2420 Pro, little over 150 hrs. Had my dealer check the boat out, it was sent back to Blazer for Warranty repair. Do you use a Transom saver when you trailer your boat? The roads in Louisiana are horrible, I have witness some many rigs (Boat and trailers) traveling down the road with the engines bounce up and down. I would contact your dealer asap and discuss your transom issue.

Yea i use the transom saver, i brought it back to duvics and they sent it back to blazer on wednesday for warranty repairs, i just hope it looks like it never happened, thanks for the input.

Hope that motor doesnt blow up turning those RPM's with only 5hrs on it

It shouldnt blow, the mechanic told me during break in to get on it full throttle for 3 mins then drop it back, he said with a light load i should be at 6000rpms, but hey if it blows, i still have six more years of warranty on the motor, thanks for the replys guys.

hmmm thats odd becasue every motor ive owned and everyone else i know that has had a boat with a new motor the dealer/mechanic has told them never to run wide open under 20hrs...but hey you paid for it...if it blows up with a handful of hours the mechanic is going to have to print out the sheet off the motor and send it to suzuki...and they may or may not warranty it

Not sure about Susuki engines but Yamaha owners manual states to WOT the engine for one minute are so during the first 10 hr.break in period but no longer than 5 min. of WOT. My mechanic said this allows the block to expan and contract on the piston rings. To make sure rings seat well. I have about 85 hr. on my engine and i still baby it. Don't run over 4000 rpms. She'll do boout 38 mph on gps.

As for the cracks, don't panic. My 08 fishermens been back a couple of times to blazer, they stand by there product. they'll take care of it. I'm getting ready to call my dealer on a few small cracks I want repaired. They have a local glass guy that does small jobs.

yes that the same thing my suzuki break in manual says to do, WOT for 1 minute to 3 minutes, no longer than that tho, after 3 hours it states to do that, yes duvics has been really great with me and i am really patient knowing this isnt there fault, im just ready to be back in the water!

Just got the boat back friday, and wow they did an amzing job, never could tell it was there, thanks blazer, lets hope it doesnt happen again!
