Battery Compartment Draining

The battery compartment on my 2220 Pro is holding water. How are these compartments supposed to drain?

there should be a drain hole thru the stringer allowing it to drain into the bilge. it can be unclogged by running a piece of single strand wire thru it.

I had the same in my 2220. There are holes drilled in the stringer separating that area from the bilge but they are small. I routed out the holes to twice the size that were there and still sometimes I find water collecting?? Thinking about drilling them out even larger.
