replacing brakes

I have a 08 2220 Fisherman on a Starline Tandum axle trailer. I just had to replace one of my brake calipers. I replaced with Tie down, but heard good things about Kodiak. I would like to know how long they normally last. If I have to replace every couple of years or did I just get a bad one. Also has anyone changed to the Kodiak silver cadmiums or stainless steel and what was your experience as for as lasting? Is it worth the extra cost? Most of my towing is 20 minutes or less. The launch is in salt water but I do rinse the brakes off when I get home

I have a 2007 2220 pro with the tandam trailer. I replaced both of the brake hubs last year with stainless and after a year they still look new. Much better than the junk hubs that came on the trailer.
