1860 Bay Boat Trolling Motor Size

Can anyone tell me if they have problems with a 50" shaft trolling motor coming out of the water in fishable water chop in a 1860 boat? Is a 60" to long or bulky to install. Trying to decide 50" or 60" shaft. And how many pounds of thrust is working for you? Thanks

The longer the better. If you are going to spend money might as well get a 80#
