Colored Gel Coat Fading

I have owned a 2170 for about 4 years. From the top of the boat to about half way down, the boat has a yellow colored gel coat. The yellow color is fading in several places and white spots are showing through. The local dealer says this type of damage to the gel coat should not happen after 4 years. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced problems with the gel coat and if Blazer did anything to fix the problem.
