06 2220 Pro Transom

I am the owner of an 06 2220 Pro since new and have developed a problem with the transom. I have a Yamaha 200HP and noticed that the trim piece covering the seam on the transom of my boat has come off. After looking further into the problem, I noticed the piece was glued on with a marine sealant and that it has come off due to my transom separating from the cap of my boat. There is actually a 3/16" to 1/4" gap between the two and the gel coat is now chipping from where the base of my jack plate meets the boat. I would think because it is now flexing. Has anyone had this issue with there 2220 Pro? If so, who should I take it to since I am in Houston and the dealer I purchased the boat from has either moved o gone out of business?

Call Blazer, Sounds like a Warranty issue.They can direct you to another dealer.

I had the same issues on my 06 2420 Pro. My dealer contact Blazer and had my boat shipped back to them for Warranty work. Blazer did an excellent job in repair my boat . But I was surprise that I had this issue in the first place, with a "New Boat" that had less then 200 hours . Again, just contact Blazer, Like rorgero stated and they should be able to take care of you.

Thanks, I will contact them tomorrow. Do they make provisions for transporting my boat back to FL, or is this something I am responsible for as I am in Houston, TX? My boat has 200 hrs on it, so I am a bit surprised that I am having this issue as well.

jkolman, I as far as I know Ron Hoover was the blazer dealer in Houston, at least last year might call them and tell them whats going on with the boat. They should be able to either help you out or get in touch with Blazer to see what they want to do.

I spoke to Kelly today at Blazer and she asked me to take pictures and email them the pictures so they can see what I am talking about. Once they view them they will ask me to take it to a dealer so the dealer can verify what is going on and give Blazer a quote to fix it. From there, Blazer will decide whether to let the dealer fix it or if I have to send it back to Blazer for repair.

I will keep all posted on the outcome.
