Time for me to replace my rig. My old Larson has served me well, but age has caught up with her. I have been searching and searching for the replacement and have narrowed it down to the 2400 Blazer, Triton 24LTS, and the new 22 Bay Cat by Twin Vee. I have been offered a sweet deal on the Triton. Super ride, super nice and well finished, but heavy and a little to pretty for charter abuse. Lined hulls just take up too much interior room. Since most of my fishing is out in Breton Sound casting decks are not very appealing to me. Hate pulling customers out of the water. The Twin Vee has a great ride and will fly with my Suzuki 250, but here again another pretty lined hull and too much storage. I have been offered a sweet deal on it also. The more I look the 2400 looks to suit my needs. Hard to beat all that open fishing room. I plan on pulling the trigger on the Blazer very soon, still price hunting for my best deal.
I would love to hear from you 2400 owners about your rigs and how you like it. Also would like to hear from you fellow guides that run one. How well does the deck drain? Any issues with water coming in from scuppers? Any other issues you may have or had?
