Transducer Problems

Just installed a Lowrance lcx28c Graph on my Boat, Dealer Mounted Transducer on the Transom, Loosing total Sonar after Coming out of the Hole, Planing off. If they Move the Transducer to Directly Below the Jack plate, This would make it more to the Center line of the hull, Would this cure the problem with Sonar? I believe its blowing out, or excessive air bubbles are not Allowing for proper Readings. Would Appreciate the Help, I Hope all Have a great Holiday Season, Thanks Patrick.

Hey Blazerman,
I once had a hewes that was stupid fast and when I put a new lowrance unit on it I had the same problem. I resolved this issue by switching from a transom mount skimmer style transducer to a "shoot thru hull" style transducer. The transducer glued to the inside of the hull, problem solved. I still use the same style transducer on my B.B. 2420 saltwater boat and it has always worked great.
