splash well access cover leaking

The splash well access cover in my 2220 fisherman leaks a lot. It leaks right on my fuel filter housing causing it and the filter to corrode. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to correct it? I looked at the “o” ring and it looks ok. I was thinking of trying a larger diameter and see if it would make a difference but I am not sure where to get one. Any help is greatly appreciated.

had the same problem with my 2020, i moved the filter asmbly to the batt compart. also had problems with the molded lips under the access with water over-flowing into the compartments. fixed that by installing some 90 degree 1/4 npt to 3/8 barb fittings and some 3/8 tubing and routing it to the bilge.
