Hydraulic Steering hits transom when trimmed up to trailer

I have a 2000 Pro v210 with a 225 Merc Optimax when I trim it up to put transom saver on my connections for my hydraulic stearing hit and press on my transom seems as if I need wider j plate also I cavitate when getting out of hole and top end is only 56 what should I do. Thanks for any type of advice. I have only had this boat for 6 months bought it used don't think its the original motor just need some advice on motor jackplate heights etc...

10 inch jackplate running about 2 1/4 below pad. This should fix your problem.
