Prop size for 2170

I got a 2010 2170 with a 2007 Yamaha 150TXR (2 stroke). I cruise at around 3700-3800 somewhere around 35 mph. I can get it up to about 4500 running in the low 40's.
I'm not sure what the pitch is on the prop but it's a Yam 3 blade
Anybody got idea what that motor should be Taching and which prop, pitch I should have on it?

You need to get the RPM's up in the 5600 range, but the prop may not be your issue. By dropping one pitch lower you will probably gain around 200 RPM. That means quite a drop to get you in the range you need to be in if your current max is 4500. I would start with the tach to make sure it is functioning correctly and then check the engine to make sure you are getting WOT throttle.

Really, I think the best I've seen is 5200. The motor does seem like it's choked down, the dealer said it's the right prop but you know how that goes. They did sell me the boat with the DIN swith for the digital Yam Tach set for 4 stroke. I don't know if that changes things but I got that fixed.
What is the optimum operating range for that 2 stroke motor?

WOT should be around 5500 RPM. What size prop do you have on there now?

That prop sounds about right. Do you normally carry a lot of gear and or people?

I don't usually pack much gear or people but I usually have a full tank
Ya think a hydraulic jack plate would help any?

A jack plate would help some but I don't think that much. Did the motor just drop RPMs? Has the motor sat up for any extended periods?

No it hasn't been sitting up for too long, in between the oil spill and working out of town. I took care of the gas properly and it still runs dam good. I just felt it was a little slow and talking around the WOT RPMs seemed a little low.
