Console seat - oh poop hanldes

I was wondering if anyone had any luck installing some grab handles on the console baitwell/front seat for the passenger riding in the front. Anybody know if the glass is thick enough in that area to effectively do so?

not sure about the glass on the side (horizontal) of the seat bottom.
but the glass on the vertical between the seat and back is about 1/4", or just slightly bigger.
went through quite a few rotozip bits cuting holes for speakers in my console.

but a great idea for some handles there. never thought of that

At the request of my wife, I installed (attwood?) white rubber handles on each side of the front baitwell of my 2170. I purchased the handles at Academy Sports for about 10 buck each. I bolted them onto the small space between the seat cushion and the vertical side of the center counsel. To give credit to my wife, they are a good item to have.
