2000 210pro-v with 225 merc. pro max blows out on holeshot

My husband and I have a 2000 Blazer 210 pro-v with a 225 mercury promax sport. It has a 25 pitch Trophy Plus pro and a 6 inch slidemaster jackplate. The problem we are having is getting on a plane without the boat blowing out. We have lowered the motor as far as possible and it didn't seem to help at all. We try feathering the gas petal but still without luck. The boat has really good topend speed we can easily turn 94 mph. Someone suggested going with a bigger jackplate maybe the 10 inch or wedging the jackplate we have on out. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix our problem? Please Help!

sounds like your prop has holes that are too large. buy some pvs plugs that fit your prop and try 1 at a time until your boats planes off without spinning too much. if you put too many plugs it will be real sluggish coming out of the hole so find the sweet spot

You may need a 10inch Jackplate not sure if this help any but take a look. I have a 210 and it came standard with the 10inch J/P. I would call bob's machine shop.

I have a 210 as well. You might want to try a through hub prop as the Bravo. They run really good on these boats. But if your seeing those number out of that baot and prop then I would just send the prop off for a B&B and then see. If no better then mess with the PVS system. I am only seeing mid 80's with mine and I have a 300xs.

you should just need plugs if your looking for wholeshot then plug it you wont lose the speed

you need a bigger jackplate to help with the blow out problem your boat is jumping out the holeshot and in turn losing the water it needs to keep the boat up if that makes sense to you
