2170 fuel gauge question? Edit "Fixed it"

Where is the fuel gauge sending unit? My gauge is not working and was wondering if this is the culprit?

it is on the fuel tank should be under access plate in the floor

Fixed it. Thanks. For those with a similiar problem. There is a plate just forward of the rear live well. Took the plate off and after checking connections, pulled up one wire with two leads. (Electical power from battery) One lead had come off. It appeared they used a connector too small or did not crimp very well. Used a connector one size up. Easy and took all of ten minutes. Thanks for the response.

Having a problem with mine also, I have 2010 1960 with Suzuki components, my fuel gauge is telling me I'm using 170 gallons per hour, off the wall stuff, tried unplugging and resetting to no avail, any suggestions before mechanic....

Just noticed your problem. may be too late, but when I first got mine all the gauges were off. Found out they were programmed for 4 stroke instead of two that I optioned for. They fixed it for nothing.
