prop?

hey guys, new to the site and i need some help. I have a 2008 2220 blazer bay fisherman, I just put a new suzuki 250 with a 25'' shaft on the boat.
Is anyone runnung the same set up on their boat? If so what prop are you running? Ive tried three props so far and the top speed i have got is 46 mph.
I could get that out of the suzuki 150 i just pulled off the boat. Thanks in advance for any info.

I was running 5900 to 6000 with a 15 1/2'' 21 pitch and only getting 46 mph

I have a 2220 Fisherman also but running a 250 SHO and getting 64 mph turning a 23 pitch at 5400 rpm loaded with full fuel and tackle with two people aboard. It's ran 67 with just me and low fuel. You should be getting more speed than that.

I would recommend trying a 23p as your rpm range is between 5500-6100. You will drop about 400 rpm and still be in range.

Propped out right, I think realistically, you can expect 55-58mph with your rig.

15 1/2 diam.prop... do all susuki's turn such a large wheel. I have a 200 yamaha HPDI on a 08 fishermen and she runs 52 with me and gear and 60gallon's fuel...prop is a 13 3/4 21p... at 5400 rpm. do you have a jack plate? that susuki should be pushing it faster than that... that Engine must weigh a ton...

I believe the Suzuki is stuck with a big Ole dog of a prop. If he could put a blueprinted 24-25p tempest on it, he could get in the low sixties.
