Hot weather and hot action Monday on the Beach. Anthony Williams brought along Christian, Conner, Rick, Frankie, and Johnny. We started out not far from the MRGO and got on a good Trout bite with Campo’s shrimp under a cork. When the tide slowed down our bite stopped so we made a few moves and got on a few bites. The guys had lots of action and caught fish at each stop till we ran out of bait. By that time everyone was ready to call it a day. The crew had a blast, and is looking forward to their next trip. Total take home for the day was 105 Trout, 1 Red, 3 Drum, and 3 Sheepshead.

WE HAVE 4 BOATS WAITING TO TAKE YOU ON YOUR NEXT FISHING ADVENTURE. OUR LODGE SLEEPS 19 ANGLERS, just steps from the boats. Check out the photos of the quality fish we have been on. Give us a call at 504 887 4960 or 504 881 9966 (cell). You'll be glad that you did!!

Tuesday from the Beach. Onboard were Mark Livaudais brought his sons Charley and Robert along with his nephew Will. As we pulled out we were greeted by a stiff North West wind. We made a couple of stops in Eloi, but could not get much going in the rough dirty water. We moved over to the other side of the MRGO and got on several fast Trout bites, but lots of small fish. We got on one good bite of decent Trout that was cut short by Flipper. The porpoise moved in to get in on the Trout action too. One even came about a 2’ behind the boat, stuck his head up and looked at us. The guys asked about catching some Reds so we went looking for some. We found lots of under sized rat reds, but the guys also did get a few keepers and some Drum too. They had a great time and I look forward to seeing them again come October. Total take home for the day was 50 Trout, 3 Reds, 5 Drum, and 4 Sheepshead.

The Trout are on and the fishing in Shell Beach is outstanding. Campo’s is open with fuel, live bait, ice, and the newly improved back down ramps are open. Nice and easy launching with helpful advice from the Campo’s is waiting for you. For your next fishing adventure call United Charters, dates are filling fast. Very nice over night accommodations are avalible. 504-439-1680.

Today’s report from the Beach. Onboard were Jim, James, Jerry, and Lee. I took them out today for their second day of fishing with us. We started out in Eloi and got a couple bites with the Campo’s shrimp under a cork, and on the bottom. Once we had a good box of Trout together we headed out into the Sound to look for some big Trout to add to the box. We made one stop fishing with croakers on a Carolina rig and put 20 nice big Trout on ice and a big Bull Red that was released. Next we stopped in Machias and got another Trout bite. With 95 Trout in the box and no more bait we headed on in. Good day on the water with a great group of guys.

Saturday report from the Beach. I had part of a two boat group Saturday, with Beaver Edwards, Robert Redden, Mike Picou, and John Martin on my boat. First a stop by Campo’s for bait, then we hit Bay Eloi. We finally found a wellhead that did not have a boat on it and got on a steady bite with live shrimp under a cork. Eventually the bite slowed down so we made a move to a less crowded area and got the Trout going pretty good near a shoreline. The guys put trout after Trout in the boat till all the bait was gone, and we had 111 Trout on ice. It was a fun day with lots of action with a great group of guys.

Fun Sunday on the Beach. John Defrances, his wife Jennifer, and friends Mike and Ron were onboard. The crew said they wanted to go for the big Trout, so armed with Campo’s croakers and live shrimp we headed into the Sound. It did not take long for Jennifer to get things started with a big Red. After that some big fat Trout to came to the boat. Our Trout action was cut short by the Running of the Bulls. The big Reds showed up big time and just would not leave us alone no matter how many stops we made. Good thing was that the Trout we could get in between the Bulls were in the 3-4 pound class. My crew fished hard put together a nice box of Trout and released a lot of big Reds. Total take home the day was 50 Trout, 4 Reds, and 1 Drum.

The Silver Bullet Gang hits the Beach. After a week off for a little vacation I had the pleasure of taking out the Silver Bullet Gang, Garry, Ray, Charles, and Frank on Wednesday. Conditions were perfect as we left Campo’s. Our fist stop produced some nice Trout along with the occasional Bull Red and Jack. Once this bite slowed we made a few moves and got on a good bite of some quality Trout with live shrimp under a cork. Charles tossed out a Glup shrimp and it met the same fait as the live. Before long everyone had one on and the Trout were filling up the box fast. When the guys called it quits the box was stuffed and one of them had to sit on it to get it closed. Total for the day 103 Trout, 3 Reds, 4 Heads, and 1 Drum.

Tough Thursday on the Beach. I picked up Joey and his wife Jennifer at Campo’s where we loaded up with their famous live shrimp and croakers. We were greeted by a stiff NW wind as we headed out. This ruled out one of the areas I wanted to fish that produced well the day before. We bounced around all over the Sound with little to show for, two Trout and a couple of Bull Reds hook ups to go with the tons of Hardheads and Sailcats. We moved closer in to fish on the protected edges and got on a few good Trout with lots of throw backs mixed in. We then worked the rocks for a little while where Jennifer caught the Trout of the day. It was a tough day for fishing, but they had fun scraping together a box of 25 Trout and 1 Sheepshead. It definitely was one of those, “you should have been here yesterday” kind of days.

Trout on fire at the Beach. Thursday I had Gary Migliori onboard. Conditions were much better than I thought they would be so we headed into the Sound. At our first stop the first Trout to hit the box was a solid 5 pound fish. Fishing with croakers on the bottom we put some more pretty Trout on ice. A crew boat came and shut our bite down. We then made move and got on a good bite and finished off our limits with live shrimp under a cork. 50 pretty Trout and a fun time on the water, can’t ask for better.

Today I had Barrett Jones and his 8 year old son David Paul. I brought my youngest daughter Izabella along with us. It was great chance to get in another fishing trip before school starts. We made a few stops in the Sound and picked up some nice Trout on both shrimp and croakers. Capt. Frank called and he was on a good bite and finishing up. We headed on over and it was on. We would cast the pole out and the cork would be down before we could hand the kids the pole. When they would get tired and take a break Barrett and I got in on the fun till they were ready to fish again. We had a blast and filled the box with 100 pretty Trout.

The Trout are on and the fishing in Shell Beach is outstanding. Campo’s is open with fuel, live bait, ice, and the newly improved back down ramps are open. Wednesday report from the Beach. On board were David, EJ, John, Ryan, and Chris. The weather was perfect as we pulled out of Campo’s. We headed to an outer island to look for some Trout, but all we found were Sheepshead. We put a few of them in the box and made a move. Tried a few rigs further out in the Sound and it looked like we were getting on a good Trout bite, but it died out fast. We headed closer in into Eloi and the water in there the clearest I have ever seen it. Fishing with live shrimp under a cork the Trout were eating up and it was a blast to be able to see them strike in the clear water. It was a fish on every cast. One of the guys said it was too easy. We left them biting and headed in with 125 Trout and 9 Heads on ice. The guys had a great time.

Fun with the in laws Thursday on the Beach. Jim and John brought their fathers in law Tony and Paul for a day of fishing. We got a early start after a stop by Campo’s for bait. You could not ask for better conditions, no wind and some early cloud cover. We headed straight out into the Sound. We stopped at a rig and it started off a little slow. Fishing both on under a cork and on the bottom we only had a few Trout to show for and a bunch of Hardheads. We repositioned to another corner of the rig and that was all it took. The guys started hauling in Trout after Trout with live shrimp under a cork. The action was fast and fun. The Trout were so aggressive they were hitting the corks. I had one pole set up with a Top Dog and the guys took turns with it. John made a comment about how they would probably hit anything. Just to prove it I cut a piece of white rag put it on the hook under a cork and down it went with a Trout attached. In no time 125 Trout were on ice and we were heading to the house by 8:30 to beat the heat. It was a fun day with a great group of fishermen.
