Keith took a borrowed 2008 202 Pro bass boat equipped with a Mercury 300 Pro XS engine to Johns Lake in Clermont, Fl. The boat was a standard factory boat borrowed from Ronnie Summers of Mobile, Al. that he uses to fish hard out of. When I say hard, I mean hard. It is common for Ronnie to run 300 miles a day in a tournament looking for fish. Keith took the boat to the shootout, made a few runs to determine if the boat needed any adjustments, borrowed a Mercury Lightning 30 pitch prop, raised the jackplate 1/2 inch and proceeded to make the fastest run of the day by far. It was one of the quickest runs ever in a Bass and Walleye Shootout and the run was made in a boat that the average customer can get into for $43,000.00 or less. Not another boat builder in America can say that!
