The standard model of the 2800 Makaira features a well-designed front lounge with plenty of seating that doubles as storage. The inside of the center console comes plumbed with a head and offers easy access to the boat’s all-new digital switching and cleaned up wire management. The console itself is sleek and customizable to your desires and is paired with double-bolster seating for maximum comfort. The back deck of the boat includes two livewells and a folding bench that can be lifted to access the engine wiring. All together, the standard 2800 Makaira features every luxury a Blazer Bay boat could offer.

What is Included in the 2800 Makaira Pro Package?

The 2800 Makaira comes with a lot of professional features by default. As such, the Pro Package for this model is not as extensive as it is with some of our smaller vessels. The 2800 Makaira Pro Package includes a hull color of your choice, dual 12-inch Simrad Evo3 depth finders with transducer, and a Suzuki DF 350 ATX dual prop. All together, the Pro Package for the 2800 Makaira comes out to $157,350, only $9,088 above the starting price for a standard model.

What is the General Layout of the 2800 Makaira?

The 2800 Makaira is our largest vessel, and as such is jam packed with features. Starting at the nose of the boat, there is a large forward lounge with storage compartments underneath the seating that can be accessed by removing the cushions. There is also an optional coffin box cooler seat that is perfect for both lounging, and storing larger catches all day.

The forward lounge also has an option with a table that can convert into additional lounging room for easy stowing away. This table makes the lounge more comfortable, giving you plenty of space to lay out a picnic for lunch in between rounds of fishing. When you want the table to tuck away, simply remove the table top and the metal arm acting as the base. Then, put the metal arm into one of the many storage compartments located around the vessel. The table top can then be secured by the front lounge seating, providing a larger lounging space when the table is not in use.

To either side of the forward lounge are rod lockers with additional padding along the walking path for comfort. Each rod locker is designed to hold five rods each. There is additional storage located in the floorspace near the rod lockers.

The center console is jam-packed with features, many of which are customizable to your specific needs. In this image, there are dual 12-inch Simrad Evo3 depth finders which come standard with the 2800 Makaira Pro Package. Underneath the depth finder monitors are two switchboards produced by Marlin Technologies that are designed to perform several of your regular boat functions at the literal push of a button.

Then, there is the main console area which supports the control center for most of the technologies implemented around the vessel. For example, there is a lift plate gauge for the Bob’s 10-inch heavy duty jackplate supporting the engine. There is also an optional monitor for either a suzuki, mercury, or yamaha engine. Finally, there is a head unit for the speaker system, which is JL Audio brand standard.

The inside of the console comes plumbed with a head and offers additional storage. This space also has easy access panels to the wiring that connects to everything in the console for easy repair. When not in use, this cavity acts as great storage for the removable padded seating

The console seating also comes with several features. The double-bolster seats can be folded up to act as a leaning post or left down as a comfortable chair, as depicted in the image below. The arms of the seat are also able to be folded up or down as desired through the use of strong yet simple-to-use locking mechanisms that can be unlocked through a simple button push. The side of the double-bolster seat also includes an additional storage compartment for personal items.

The back of the center console seating includes several useful features including additional rod holders and two cup holders for the driver and passenger of the boat. There is also a small livewell for holding smaller fish and additional storage including a pull-out drawer and several hook and bait containers secured with a locking cabinet door. The top of the livewell and storage forms a multipurpose counter space perfect for serving lunch or prepping your line for your next catch. Additionally, a section of this counterspace can be removed to reveal a small sink for washing hands or small items.

Finally, there is the back deck of the 2800 Makaira which includes two livewells and a foldable bench for additional seating. This seating can also be raised to reveal the wiring system supporting the engine on the back of the boat.

While some features, such as the dual 12-inch depth finders, do not come standard on every model, this is the general layout of the 2800 Makaira. For a better look at the customizations offered with this model, check out the build-a-boat feature by visiting this page.

Is the Toe-Kick Feature Staying on the 2800 Makaira?

The toe kick has been one of the most underrated features on the 2800 Makaira. Despite being a simple element to its design, it is incredibly useful when it comes to navigating around the vessel comfortably. The toe kick will remain as a feature in the 2800 Makaira design.
