For a lot of bass fishermen, the need for speed runs as deep as the desire to fish. However, with inflation and other economic factors, it can be difficult to afford a boat that can achieve such an experience. To help more people get blazing on the water, we are proud to announce our 625 and 650 NAP models!
Our 625 and 650 Nationally Advertised Price (NAP) models often get confused with their sister vessels, the 625 Pro Elite and the 650 Pro Tour. To help clear up some misconceptions and explain the differences between our boat models, we have laid out all of the information about our newest additions to the Blazer Boats family.
What is the Difference between the Pro Tour, the Pro Elite, and the NAP?
Blazer Boats has always been known for our bold approach to fishing boat design. When it comes to our line of bass fishing boats, our two most popular models have been the 625 Pro Elite and the 650 Pro Tour. While similar, the two models offer some slight differences that can make a huge impact on your angling experience.
The 625 Pro Elite, with its overall length of 20 feet and six inches, is the smaller version of the two with a seven-foot nine-inch beam and a dry weight of 1,400 pounds. Despite the smaller size, this vessel has the same 1,400 pound maximum capacity as the 650 Pro Tour. With the fuel capacity of twin 25 gallon tanks and a transom height of 20 inches, she is a perfect boat for quick, zippy movements as well as casual coasting.
Our 650 Pro Tour is slightly larger with an overall length of 21 feet and 4 inches and a beam length of 8 feet. This larger size increases the dry weight of the boat to 1,800 pounds. While the maximum HP for this vessel is 300, the recommended HP is 250. Both the 650 Pro Tour and the 650 NAP models have twin 25-gallon tanks and the same pumps.
So how do the NAP models compare to the 625 Pro Elite and the 650 Pro Tour? It all comes down to packages. The Pro Tour and Elite models offer many customization options when it comes to electronics, trolling motor, boat motor, and color pairings. However, these customizations can add to the cost.
That is why we have designed our 625 NAP and 650 NAP boats: by reducing the customization options into a series of packages, we are able to manufacture these boats at a much cheaper price and can pass those savings on to our customers. Additionally, our 650 Pro Tour and 625 Pro Elite feature a pinline on the interior edge of the boat that is removed in the NAP versions. This change also aids in reducing the manufacturing cost.
The 625 NAP Packages
Our 625 NAP package options are based on the customizations we offer with our 625 Pro Elite boats. Both of these models share the same base statistics such as overall length, beam, capacity, and fuel capacity. What makes these boats different is the reduced customization options of the 625 NAP, specifically when it comes to the electronics, trolling motor, boat motor, and color.

Motor, Trolling Motor, and Engine Options
The goal of these packages is to reduce the cost of manufacturing and pass those savings on to the customer. As such, the options for trolling motors have been greatly reduced. For the 625 NAP model, there is only one option for a trolling motor with a bracket: the Lowrance Ghost model. There is also only one engine option: the Mercury 250L PXS TM. The engine rigging is a Mercury Analog 4 Stroke. This package is paired with a Bravo propeller.
Color Packages
There are four color packages available for our 625 NAP models. The first is “Stormfire”, which is a majority red boat with silver pinlines and a dark charcoal base. The seats mimic this pattern as well, with a bright red section around the headrest, a silver back, and charcoal side panels. All together, the design pops both at the dock and in the water.
The second option is called “Midnight Sapphire” which mimics the Stormfire design, but switches the fiery red for a cool royal blue. The fiberglass panels on the side and the seats both carry this bahama blue tone, making for a beautiful color pairing.
The third package is “Viper Stealth” which is a mostly midnight black boat with charcoal panels and is split by striking lime green pinlines. The seats also carry this bright green color, having the headrests in our “vibrant wake” fabric swatch paired with charcoal sides and a silver back.
The fourth and final color package is shadow strike, perfect for those looking for a more neutral color palette. This boat has black pinlines cut across the gun metal grey and dark charcoal panels. Where the other designs have featured bright colors in the headrest section of the seats, this color package keeps things consistent with a varying shades of grey fabric forming the entirety of the seat.
All four color packages are included in the cost of the boat, meaning there is no additional charge for any particular color.
Electronics and Additional Inclusions
There are many additional options included with the 625 NAP package. As the goal is to keep these boats as low-cost as possible for consumers, many of the usual customization options have been reduced to single items. However, some customization is still available when it comes to specific areas at an additional cost.
These additional cost options include the jackplate, trailer axles, passenger console, and boat cover. By default, the jackplate is a ten inch slidemaster manual plate but can be upgraded to Bob’s hydraulic jack plate in black. Additionally, the trailer axle brakes are single axle but can be applied to both axles for an additional charge. The passenger console with glove box is also optional. Lastly, the boat can be ordered with a charcoal boat cover upon request.
As for the other options, our standard package includes many powerful tools at your disposal, such as a pair of eight-foot blade power poles in black. The bass bow depth finder is a Lowrance HDS 9 Pro while the one in the console is a Lowrance HDS 12 Pro. Legend steps, sea clear power harness, and synthetic cockpit floor upgrade are all included with every 625 NAP model. The charger is a Minn Kota 4 bank battery charger, and the trailer is a Marine Master 625 tandem with 14 inch wheels.
To see these options, you can visit our build a boat software where you can see an image of the boat that changes as you select items. Additionally, a full list of all specifications, engine rigging, color packages, engine and propeller options, and more is listed in a user-friendly interface, making it easy to scroll through all of the items that come standard with this vessel.
The 650 NAP Packages
The 650 NAP is designed to be similar to our 650 Pro Tour. Both are based on the same main model and as such share the same overall length, beam, capacity, and fuel capacity. The main difference between these two boats are the limited customization options offered with the 650 NAP. By reducing the options available for these boats to a set of preset standard options, we are able to reduce the manufacturing cost and pass those savings on to the consumer.

Motor, Trolling Motor, and Engine Options
The 650 NAP comes with a Mercury 250L PXS TM and is rigged with a Mercury Analog 4 Stroke. There is also a Lowrance Ghost trolling motor with a bracket included at the front of the boat. The propeller included in the package is a Bravo.
Color Packages
The 650 NAP has the same color options as the 625: Stormfire, Midnight Sapphire, Viper Stealth, and Shadow Strike. Stormfire features red and black fiberglass with silver pinstripes and red, black, and silver seats.
Midnight Sapphire is similar to Stormfire, except the red accents are changed out for royal blue. Viper Stealth pairs black and grey fiberglass with neon green pinstripes, while shadow strike combines grey and charcoal fiberglass with black pinstripes.
Electronics and Additional Inclusions
There are several options that are included as part of the standard package for our 650 NAP model. Every boat comes with a pair of 8-foot black blade power poles, a set of legend steps, and a sea clear power harness. On the bow, a Lowrance HDS 9 Pro depth finder is attached while a Lowrance HDS 12 Pro is included in the console. A Minn Kota 4 bank battery charger is also included in the package. Finally, the boat comes with the 650 Pro Tour Marine Master trailer with 14-inch wheels.
There are also additional options that can be included at an additional cost. By default, the 650 NAP comes with a 10 inch slidemaster manual plate for the jack plate, but can be upgraded to a Bobs 10 inch action black jack plate. Similarly, the default single axle brakes on the trailer can be upgraded to dual axle brakes. A passenger console with glove box can also be added to the 650 NAP. Finally, a charcoal boat cover can also be included with the purchase of a 650 NAP.
Which is Better: the NAP or the Pro Tour and Pro Elite?
When it comes to quality, all of the boats feature Blazer’s best designs for bass fishing and are arguably some of the best on the market. While the NAP models share the same base specifications as their more expensive counterparts, the boats do differ when it comes to price point and customization options. Determining which boat is best comes down to what is of highest priority.
If budget is tight and customizations aren’t as important, then the NAP boats can get you cruising in a Blazer at a much more affordable cost. However, if there are certain customization options that are dealbreakers, then opting for the 650 Pro Tour or the 625 Pro Elite may be in your best interest. In either case, both boats pack a punch where it matters: in performance and speed.
